After a scalp micropigmentation procedure, it is important to follow proper aftercare instructions to ensure the best results. Here are some aftercare guidelines:

1. Avoid scratching or rubbing the treated area: For the first few days after the procedure, avoid scratching or rubbing the treated area, as this can cause the pigments to smear or fade.

2. Keep the scalp clean: Gently use the aftercare provided for a week andd avoid using any products that contain alcohol or fragrances.

3. Avoid exposure to sunlight: Avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight or UV light, as this can cause the pigments to fade. Wear a hat or use a high SPF sunscreen when outside.

4. Avoid swimming: Avoid swimming or immersing the treated area in water for the first few days after the procedure.

5. Avoid sweating: Avoid activities that may cause heavy sweating, such as exercising or saunas, for the first few days after the procedure.

6. Avoid alcohol and caffeine: Avoid consuming alcohol and caffeine for the first few days after the procedure, as these substances can increase swelling and redness.

7. Follow-up appointments: Follow any follow-up appointments scheduled by myself performing the procedure, as I may recommend touch-ups or further aftercare instructions. It is important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by myself to ensure the best results and minimize the risk of complications. If you have any concerns, reach out to me for advice.

The ink used in scalp micropigmentation and traditional tattooing are similar, but there are some key differences between the two. Scalp micropigmentation ink is specifically designed for use on the scalp and is formulated to mimic the look of natural hair follicles. This type of ink is typically finer in particle size and has a higher pigment concentration than traditional tattoo ink. Additionally, scalp micropigmentation ink is usually applied in smaller, more precise dots, as compared to the larger, more fluid lines used in traditional tattooing.

I use high-quality SMP ink specifically designed for scalp micropigmentation to ensure the best results. I have used many inks in the past 4 years and have found that Blendz Ink is the Richest Black pigment in today's market.  I believe in that ink so much that the company has reached out to me to become a PRO Team Ambassador for Blendz Ink.  I am able to produce the most natural results with this ink!

The longevity of scalp micropigmentation results can vary depending on a number of factors, including skin type, aftercare, and exposure to the sun. On average, scalp micropigmentation results can last for 2-5 years before a touch-up is necessary.

However, some individuals may find that the results last longer, while others may need touch-ups sooner. Proper aftercare, such as avoiding direct sunlight, avoiding harsh hair products, and avoiding excessive sweating, can help to prolong the results of the procedure.

Dry skin clients will require sooner touch ups as it will be harder to retain the ink as the skin tends to shed more.  Thicker scabs of skin flake off which is why it won’t retain as long as oiler skin.  These clients will need to use scalp moisturizers to maintain their scalp micropigmentation results.

The Norwood scale is a classification system used to describe the stages of male pattern baldness. The Norwood scale ranges from stage 1 to 7 and provides a visual representation of the extent of hair loss in different areas of the scalp. Stage 1 represents minimal hair loss and stage 7 represents severe hair loss. The scale is used by healthcare providers and hair loss specialists to assess the extent of hair loss and to guide treatment decisions, including hair transplantation or scalp micropigmentation.  We also use this scale to help determine the price.

Norwood 1: Early and light hair loss in front of hairline.

Norwood 2: Light to complete hair loss in front fifth of scalp.

Norwood 3: The front quarter of the scalp has light to complete hair loss.

Norwood 4: Light to complete hair loss in the front third to half of top of head, loss of hair in the front and or back of the scalp. Some light hair growth across mid scalp.

Norwood 5: Light to complete loss in front, crown and mid scalp.

Norwood 6: The front, crown, scalp and upper occipital region of the back of the head have moderate to extensive hair loss.

Norwood 7: Extensive hair loss on the top, crown and lower back.

The intervals between scalp micropigmentation sessions depend on several factors, including the extent of hair loss, the desired results, and the healing time for the individual. Typically, sessions are scheduled 2 to 4 weeks apart to allow for proper healing and to avoid over-saturating the scalp with pigment.

During the first session, I will create a base layer of pigment on the scalp. The subsequent sessions will build on this base layer to create the desired density and color. I will be able to provide a more specific timeline for the sessions based on a thorough evaluation of the individual's hair loss and desired results.

 If you are traveling from another city or country, We can spread 2 sessions 1 week apart.  First session when you arrive and second session just before you leave on a 1 week trip.

PRP and scalp micropigmentation can be used together as part of a comprehensive hair loss treatment plan. PRP is typically administered before or after scalp micropigmentation to enhance the results of the procedure.

Yes, it is possible to get a hair transplant after scalp micropigmentation.  Scalp micropigmentation can be used to complement the results of hair transplantation or to cover areas of hair loss that are not suitable for transplantation.
