WHAT IS SCALP SHADING?
Add a No-Shave Hair Density Service to Your Business
Scalp Shading, also known as Scalp Painting, originated in Korea and is designed for clients who still have existing hair but are experiencing thinning, low density or increased scalp visibility.
Unlike traditional Scalp Micropigmentation treatments that may require shorter or shaved hair depending on the treatment, Scalp Shading is performed between the client’s existing hairs without requiring them to shave their head.
The goal is to reduce the contrast between the scalp and existing hair, creating the visual appearance of greater density.
This gives SMP, PMU, barbering, hairstyling and beauty professionals another option for clients who may not be ready for traditional SMP.

Your education actually begins before you arrive in Vancouver.
Once your deposit is received, you’ll receive access to my Online Scalp Shading Course so you can begin learning the theory and technique ahead of your in-person training.
Depending on when you enroll, this can give you weeks or even months to prepare before class.

I will help you look for a local model for your training.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
After successfully completing your training requirements, you’ll receive a Scalp Shading Certificate of Completion.
You’ll leave with more than a certificate—you’ll have completed online education, practical exercises and supervised hands-on training designed to help you continue developing your Scalp Shading skills.
